Y5: Remembrance

Y5 will be discussing what remembrance really means. Who are  we remembering? Are we remembering people or events?  Is remembrance just about remembering military personnel or should we be remembering civilians that lost their lives too?

What about individual stories? We’ll learn about Florence Cordell – should her experience be ‘remembered’?

We’ll start with the two videos below and have a discussion about how they reflect modern remembrance.
